Provide long-term infrastructure to people in need, learn new skills and enjoy a trip of a lifetime

Prior to a team departing the UK, we spent a long time discussing the local community's needs and risk assessing the area. Once we are happy that the project is a long-term sustainable option that we benefit a large group of people, our staff will risk assess the potential hazards and create a working plan of action.

Several months before departure, the project will be discussed in depth with the team and tasks assigned to individuals. This may include students learning basic carpentry or metalwork prior to departure.

Once the team has arrived in-country, they will meet the local staff who will work with them to ensure the project is successful.

Current projects include:

  • Restoring a derelict building and turning it into a functioning orphanage
  • Building an adventure playground
  • Renovating damaged bridges
  • Working in remote medical clinics on educational programmes

At the end of the project, the team will have the opportunity to trek in the foothills or chill out on a beach for a spot of well deserved R&R!

Projected departure dates for 2012 are:

  • Team 1 - 6th July - 26th July 2012
  • Team 2 - 13th August - 2nd September 2012
